Russian Cannibal Family Confess To Killing and Eating At Least 30 Victims

A family of cannibals from Krasnodar in southern Russia have been accused of killing and eating at least thirty victims, according to investigators.

35-year-old Dmitry Bakshaev, alongside his wife 43-year-old Natalia who works as a nurse, revealed their reign of terror began as early as 1999. Russian Investigative Committee said the couple, who are believed to be part of a “Cannibal Family” stored human remains and 19 slices of human skin in their fridge and freezer as well as in their cellar. Many of the body parts were frozen in jars, others were discovered in buckets and bags.

Further evidence included “video lessons for cannibals” and photos of Bakshaev posing for a selfie with the decapitated head of an alleged female victim. Another photo showed a victims’ body being served for “dinner.” Police said of the photo evidence, “We can see a cooked human head at the big plate surrounded by mandarins. They put olives into the eyes and attached a lemon to the nose.”

The gruesome discovery was made where the couple lived and worked at military academy housing quarters. The smells of Russian drug Corvalol is known to have leaked from the room, it is believed they used this drug to sedate their victims. One neighbor told local news, “Each time we tried to enter their room, they started wild shouting and crying. Natalia is a scandalous woman, aggressive, so we did not risk it.”

Natalia has undergone psychiatric tests at a local hospital and these showed she was “an absolutely healthy adequate person who fully accounts for her actions.” Her husband told officers, “I did a stupid thing.”

They are both currently being held in a detention center in Krasnodar. So far none of the victims have been identified.
