A weekend of murder, motives, and mystery…
If your ideal weekend is solving a puzzle in a basement in less than 44 minutes before a deranged killer returns, viewing grisly crime scene reconstructions, or sitting in on a mock-up trial for a gruesome murder – then good news… you will have a chance to try out just that and much more at CrimeCon 2017 which will be taking place in Indianapolis, IN, next June 9th – 11th.
CrimeCon describes itself as, “A celebration of all things true crime, CrimeCon brings the cases you love to live through immersive experiences, incredible guests, and a ton of mystery and intrigue. It was created for those of us who binged on Making a Murderer or who spend more hours watching ID and Dateline than we’d like to admit.”
Guests that will appear over the weekend include former prosecutor Nancy Grave who boasts an unparalleled record of success , true crime author Aphrodite Jones, forensic criminologist Dr. Laura Pettler, and many others.
Former attorney L. Kirk Nurmi will also make an appearance. He represented the infamous murderer Jodie Arias who killed her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, whilst he was in the shower in 2008.
Jodie took the above photograph moments before she stabbed Travis 29 times. She was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in state prison.
Another guest will be The Psychopath Test author Jon Ronson. In his bestselling book,he explores the concept of psychopathy and how we define sanity, insanity, and eccentricity in our society and in ourselves.
CrimeCon begins at 1pm on Friday, June 9th and runs through to 12pm on Sunday, June 11th.
